About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Export Manager to lead and manage international business operations, expand global markets, and ensure regulatory compliance across all export activities. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in handling export sales, international documentation, trade regulations, and cross-border logistics, preferably in the pharmaceutical or Ayurvedic sector.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs):
- Identify and penetrate new international markets through research, trade events, and global outreach initiatives
- Manage the complete export sales cycle from prospecting and lead conversion to final order execution
- Handle all export-related documentation including Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other statutory forms
- Ensure compliance with country-specific export/import laws, trade agreements, and customs regulations
- Act as a single point of contact for international clients to handle queries, pricing discussions, and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with internal teams including production, QA/QC, logistics, and warehousing to meet delivery timelines
- Monitor and report sales performance by geography and recommend strategies for revenue growth
- Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and buyer-seller meets
- Leverage government schemes and incentives applicable for exports (e.g., MEIS/ RoDTEP/ EPCG)
- Maintain strong relationships with international distributors, agents, and trade partners
- Ensure timely collection of payments and manage credit control policies in overseas markets
Required Skillsets:
- Proven track record in export management and international sales, preferably in pharmaceutical or Ayurvedic products
- Deep knowledge of global trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and export documentation
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to manage global clientele
- Proficient in preparing and analyzing export data and sales reports
- Ability to multitask and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with freight forwarding, customs clearance processes, and logistic chains
- Experience in handling regulatory certifications (WHO-GMP, COA, Free Sale Certificates, etc.)
- Willingness to travel internationally for business development and trade Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Pharmacy, or related field
- Master's degree or MBA (preferred)
- Certification in Export/Import Management is a plus
