Role Overview:

As a Staff DevOps Engineer specializing in Developer Experience, you will be crucial in managing and optimizing our developer toolchain to enhance productivity and reduce development cycle times. You will collaborate closely with developers to understand their requirements, develop tailored tools, and resolve issues efficiently. Your DevOps expertise will be key to supporting the rapid expansion of our Engineering teams by ensuring robust tooling and a smooth developer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • DevOps Focus: Lead the management and enhancement of the developer toolchain, emphasizing automation and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Partner with developers to understand their needs and create tools that streamline their workflow.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve complex issues related to developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
  • Best Practices: Implement and advocate for best practices in developer tooling, documentation, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements and streamline development processes to support rapid growth.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of industry experience, with a strong focus on DevOps and developer tooling.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Developer Experience Engineer at a senior or staff level.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.
