Factory Auditor to conduct comprehensive factory audits at a PV module supplier. This role involves evaluating the entire manufacturing process, including material handling, production practices, and final product quality, to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in quality auditing or factory inspection within the PV module manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of PV module manufacturing processes, including material handling, production quality control, and testing procedures.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in quality auditing or inspection are a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to conduct audits on-site with flexibility to adjust to the supplier's production schedule.
  • Incoming Materials and Traceability:
  • Inspect raw materials for compliance with specifications and certifications.
  • Verify material traceability, BOM confirmation, and supplier documentation.
  • Production Preparation and Process:
  • Assess the cleanliness and visual consistency of cells and other materials.
  • Evaluate production preparation, including soldering processes and cell layout precision.
  • Inspect lamination (temperature, pressure, cooling methods), trimming, framing, and cleaning processes.
  • Quality Control and Testing:
  • Perform HiPot/Insulation tests and Final EL tests on PV modules.
  • Measure power output and verify environmental controls and safety measures.
  • Review SOP and QMS:
  • Analyze the supplier's Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and Quality Management System (QMS), including technical specifications such as IEC standards, BOM certification, quality plans, and acceptance/rejection criteria.
  • Certification and Compliance:
  • Review factory and product certifications to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Evaluate the implementation of corrective measures for non-conformities.
  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, non-conformities, and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements based on audit findings.
  • Collaborate with the supplier and client to address quality issues and enhance manufacturing practices.
