Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for all aspects of financial and compliance management. The primary focus would be to analyse day-to-day financial activities, regulatory compliances and subsequently provide insights to top management on future financial plans and compliance changes. Secondary responsibility will include managing the employee ESOPs i.e. Data-crunching and analysis for issuing ESOPs, streamlining the back-end paperwork, issuing the necessary documents to ESOP holders etc. and maintaining updated data on the ESOP tool.

The role holder would be responsible for collaborating with cross functional teams like sales, marketing, legal, HR and such other divisions overall organizational compliance.


FINANCE MANAGEMENT:

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, including those covering FCRA and statutory annual audit.
  • Responsible for preparing the organizational budget keeping in mind both the organizational and programmatic requirements.
  • Responsible for developing an MIS, preparing cash flows and financial tracking on projects for maintaining Accounts, and for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Responsible for preparing monthly reports on cash flow, working capital, and financial tracking of ongoing projects.
  • Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles.
  • Build new and monitor/maintain existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for closing, reconciling the task items and other general departmental financial tasks.
  • Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
  • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) considering company’s goals and financial standing.
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models.
  • Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst based on sound analysis.
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field
  • Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope.
  • Anchoring and managing the ‘Employee ESOPs’ workstream – supporting with calculations at the point of compensation structuring, issuing ESOP letters and other documents to the ESOP-holders, informing internal stakeholders on any changes/revisions to the policy/process etc.
  • Assessing employee compensation structure and recommending changes to make it more tax-efficient and aligning with best industry practices.
  • Preparing and reporting on a monthly basis on ESOPs.


Qualifications:

  • Qualified CA/CMA
  • 7-8 years of overall experience in a similar position and/or experience with financial analysis, business operations, project and program management
  • Sound knowledge of the relevant regulatory framework and corporate regulations applicable to the post
  • Proven financial planning experience at the management level
  • Knowledge of risk, controls and compliance
  • Experience of working in a Real Estate Sector/ Flex Space Business is preferred
