Purpose:
This position is primarily responsible for the effective and efficient support of our supply chain, customer service, distribution & warehouse operations, compliance and regulations to achieve the highest level of order fulfilment, customer satisfaction and compliance, and in meeting our goals of profitability and cash flow as well as customers’ needs.
Providing the operation analysis and making recommendations for proactively improving our inventory management, 3PL & distribution, regulations and any operations related function
In addition, you will be supporting Purchasing team with your regular inputs and be able to lead and manage a team of highly motivated people across APAC.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
Professional certification in Procurement or Sourcing
7-10 years of Manufacturing and Sourcing experiencein identifying, developing new sources and subcontractors for Tolling or subcontract operations and in sourcing Raw material, Intermediaries and finished chemicals
Suitable candidates’ work experience should be from Process or Industrial or fine chemical industries is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and manufacturing subcontractors
Conduct comprehensive supplier evaluations and maintain rating systems
Lead contract negotiations and manage ongoing supplier relationships
Monitor compliance and performance metrics across supplier network
Support purchasing teams with strategic insights and recommendations
Foster collaborative relationships across functional areas
Strategic Operations
Develop and implement cost reduction strategies for products and services
Provide market intelligence and insights to enhance organizational preparedness
Prepare comprehensive reports and actively participate in APAC and global meetings
Identify opportunities to optimize subcontractor performance and operational efficiency
Quality & Compliance
Ensure subcontractors meet quality standards and technical specifications
Implement robust quality control measures and resolve quality-related issues
Monitor regulatory compliance across all procurement activities
Apply manufacturing principles and quality assurance methodologies
Technical Skills & Competencies
Essential Technical Skills:
SAP MM expertise with focus on Purchase modules (mandatory) SAP MRP system understanding Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Language Requirements
Fluent in English, Tamil, and Hindi with excellent oral and written communication skillsCore Competencies
Strong project management capabilities Advanced negotiation skills and relationship management Data analysis and interpretation expertise Quantitative analysis and critical thinking abilities Complex problem-solving skills High ethical standards and professional integrityPreferred Additional Skills
