Who is simplifies security for global businesses and governments.Forcepoints all-in-one, truly cloud-native platform makes it easy to adopt Zero Trust and prevent the theft or loss of sensitive data and intellectual property no matter where people are working.- 20+ years in business.- 7k employees.- 150 countries.- 11k+ customers.- 300+ patents.If our mission excites you, youre in the right place; we want you to bring your own energy to help us create a safer world.All were missing is you.Software Engineer III.Location : Mumbai.About The Role :Forcepoint LLC is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III with over 5 years of experience in software development, system deployment, and troubleshooting at scale.The ideal candidate is proficient in C and C++, with additional experience in Python, JavaScript, Go and Linux environments.This role requires a self-starter who thrives in collaborative, geo-distributed teams and is passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.Key Responsibilities :- Design and develop new features and maintain existing functionality in public cloud infrastructure.- Debug complex product-level issues and security vulnerabilities, identifying root causes across components.- Write and maintain unit and component tests for production-level code.- Respond to customer escalations with effective, timely solutions.- Participate in requirement analysis, estimation, and breakdown of epics into actionable stories and tasks.- Collaborate with global engineering teams across different time zones.- Contribute to the development and maintenance of large-scale cloud services and applications.- Enhance test automation frameworks across functional and performance domains.- Continuously improve software delivery processes, including code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.Required Qualifications :- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.- Proficiency in C and C++ (mandatory); experience with Go, Python, and JavaScript is a plus.- Strong understanding of web APIs and protocols (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, DNS, HTTP).- Experience with multi-threaded application development on Linux.- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.- Proficient in Git and version control workflows.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Skills :- Understanding of network proxies and security concepts (encryption, secure coding, web security, etc.)- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud platforms.- Knowledge of virtualization and containerization (e., Docker, Kubernetes).- Experience automating cloud deployments using IaaS and PaaS.- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and scripting tools (bash, perl, awk, sed, grep).- Exposure to enterprise networking environments and data storage technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, Key/Value stores).- Ability to lead cross-functional feature development across architectural teams.Dont meet every single qualification?
