You will create innovative designs and develop new prints that align with current international trends, taking responsibility from design development to proto samples.


Key Responsibilities:


Design Creation:

  • Develop and design collection, including dresses, kaftans, swimwear, cover-ups, and accessories.
  • Translate briefs and market trends into cohesive and stylish design concepts.

Market Research:

  • Conduct thorough research to stay current with fashion trends, fabric innovations, and colour forecasts specific to contemporary resort wear.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and industry trends to ensure designs are fresh and competitive.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Utilize design software such as CLO, Photoshop, and CAD to create detailed sketches, technical drawings, tech packs, and design specifications.
  • Ensure accurate representation of designs through digital and physical prototypes.

Print Development:

  • Check print file repeats for accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and adapt new prints and patterns in response to current trends and brand needs.

Client Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the team to understand the client's vision and business requirements.
  • Present design concepts, provide feedback, and make adjustments based on input.

Product Development:

  • Oversee the product development process from initial concept through to final samples.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are executed as planned and meet quality standards.

Quality Control:

  • Review samples and prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Address any issues related to design, fit, or construction during the development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing resort wear or similar apparel.
  • Proficiency in design software including CLO, Photoshop, and CAD.
  • Strong understanding of print design, including file repeats and trend adaptation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in the same or similar field.
  • Experience with fabric selection and textile knowledge.
  • Previous client-facing experience and a strong portfolio of relevant work.
  • Familiarity with production processes and garment construction.
