Job Description :


We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator to join our team. As a SQL DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and availability of our SQL Server databases.

Responsibilities :

Database Administration : Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.

- Performance Tuning : Analyze database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to improve query performance.

- Backup and Recovery : Develop and execute comprehensive backup and recovery plans to safeguard critical data.

- Security Management : Implement robust security measures to protect database integrity and confidentiality.

- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performance problems, errors, and security breaches.

- Automation : Automate routine database tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Database Versioning and Deployment : Experience with database version control systems and automated deployment processes.

- High Availability and Disaster Recovery : Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications :

- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.

- Strong SQL skills : Proficiency in SQL query optimization, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

- Database Administration : Hands-on experience with database administration tasks, including user management, permissions, and security.

- Performance Tuning : Deep understanding of performance tuning techniques, including indexing, query optimization, and execution plans.

- Backup and Recovery : Expertise in backup and recovery strategies, including full, differential, and transaction log backups.

- High Availability and Disaster Recovery : Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Log Shipping.

- Troubleshooting : Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve database issues.

- Automation : Experience with scripting languages (i.e., PowerShell, SQL Server Agent jobs) to automate database tasks.

- Problem-solving and analytical skills : Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with database version control systems (i.e., Red Gate SQL Source Control).

- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (i.e., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS)
