We are looking to hire a passionate Architect for our Analog/SERDES team for our Bangalore location.
Job Description:
An Analog/SERDES (Serializer/Deserializer) Architect is a highly specialized role focused on the design, development, and optimization of high-speed serial communication interfaces and analog circuitry. This role typically involves a mix of technical expertise, innovation, and leadership.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and design teams. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies in high-speed communication and analog design.
Specification Development:
Work with product management and customers to define system and block-level specifications for new products or features.
Process Selection and Optimization:
Collaborate with process engineers to select and optimize semiconductor processes for the designed circuits.
Design and Development:
Architect and design high-speed SERDES and analog circuits, including but not limited to PLLs (Phase Locked Loops), CDRs (Clock Data Recovery circuits), TX/RX (Transmitter/Receiver) circuits, and equalization techniques.
Simulation and Modeling:
Perform detailed simulations and modeling of SERDES and analog circuits to predict performance under various conditions. Use tools like SPICE, MATLAB, or custom simulation software.
System Integration:
Work closely with digital design teams to ensure seamless integration of analog and digital components. Address issues related to signal integrity, power integrity, and overall system performance.
Validation and Testing: Develop validation plans and work with the testing teams to ensure that the designs meet or exceed the specified performance criteria. Analyze test data and refine designs as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Typically requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on analog or mixed-signal circuit design.
Experience: Several years of experience in SERDES or high-speed analog design, with a proven track record of successful project completions.
Technical Skills:
1. Deep understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design principles.
2. Proficiency in SERDES architectures and high-speed data communication standards (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet).
3. Experience with CAD tools for schematic capture, circuit simulation (e.g., Cadence, Mentor Graphics), and layout design.
4. Knowledge of semiconductor physics and process technology.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
