Deputy Project Manager: (Electrical)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Project Manager to support the Project Manager in overseeing and managing complex power distribution projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Assist in developing detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
- Support in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial accountability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to the project team, addressing technical queries and challenges.
- Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Assist in reviewing technical documents and designs.
Stakeholder Management:
- Support in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to effective communication of project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Quality Assurance:
- Assist in implementing quality control measures to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Participate in quality reviews and audits.
Risk Management:
- Support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of contingency plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in project management within the power distribution industry.
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems, including substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
