Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Payment AggregatorLocation: GurgaonCompensation: - 30-50 LPARole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the organization's technology strategy, system architecture, and information security for an RBI-licensed Payment Aggregator. The role involves ownership of mission-critical transaction platforms, regulatory compliance, and leadership of high-performing technology teams.Key Responsibilities- Define and own the end-to-end technology architecture and roadmap aligned with business objectives- Design and manage scalable, high-availability transaction systems- Lead Engineering, DevOps, Information Security, and QA teams- Manage RBI audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance requirements- Drive implementation and governance of PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and CERT-In frameworks- Oversee UPI, Cards, Net Banking, payouts, settlements, and reconciliation systems- Manage and strengthen relationships with banks, payment networks, and technology partnersCandidate 10+ years of experience in FinTech / Banking / Payments technology- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role- Mandatory exposure to RBI compliance for Payment Aggregators / Payment Gateways- Technical Expertise- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)- Expertise in API-led and microservices-based architectures- Hands-on understanding of high-availability and high-throughput systems- Solid knowledge of databases, DevOps, and system reliability engineering- Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge- RBI Payment Aggregator guidelines- PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 standards- CERT-In requirements- DPDP Act and data protection B.Tech / BE / MCA (mandatory)- Security or compliance certifications preferredLeadership Attributes- Strategic thinker with strong execution capability- Deep focus on compliance, security, and risk management- Proven people leader with the ability to scale teams and systemsPreferred BackgroundCandidates from FinTechs, Banks, NBFCs, Payment Gateways, or Core Banking companies will be preferred.
