Quantiphi - Senior Test Engineer - ETL/Datawarehouse Testing

Role & Responsibilities : - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data warehouses, and data marts, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.- This includes validating source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and data loading.- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data at various stages of the ETL pipeline, identify discrepancies, and verify data quality rules.- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and comparison is essential.- Collaborate closely with ETL developers, data architects, and business analysts to understand data requirements, source systems, and target data models.- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability.- Perform thorough testing of Reports and Dashboards generated from the data warehouse to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to business requirements.- This includes validating calculations, aggregations, and drill-down functionalities.- Identify, document, and track defects and issues related to ETL processes, data quality, and data inconsistencies using defect tracking tools.- Work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.- Contribute to the improvement of ETL testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data testing.- Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python, for test automation, data manipulation, or data validation is an added advantage.- Good hands-on experience with data services on at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).Skills Required : - 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.- Excellent Knowledge on data transformations and data quality.- Strong in SQL.
