Structural Engineer – Computational Designer | CDT – Digital PracticeLocation: Pune / Bengaluru, IndiaDar Al-Handasah (Shair and Partners)About Dar Al-HandasahDar Al-Handasah is one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary architecture and engineering consultancies, delivering innovative, sustainable, and future-ready solutions across continents.Our Computational Design & Technology (CDT) – Digital Practice team operates at the intersection of structural, architectural, and engineering disciplines,pioneering advanced computational workflows to enhance design integration, analysis, and performance across all project stages.Position OverviewWe are seeking Structural Engineers – Computational Designers (0–7 years of experience) to join our expanding CDT – Digital Practice team in India.This position suits digitally driven structural engineers passionate about using computation, parametric modeling, and automation to redefine how structures are designed, optimized, and delivered in a multidisciplinary environment.Key Responsibilities- Develop and apply parametric, generative, and data-driven design workflows to support structural design and analysis. - Integrate computational methods with structural engineering platforms (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, Robot, STAAD.Pro) and BIM environments. - Automate analytical processes and documentation through scripting (Python, C#, Grasshopper, Dynamo). - Collaborate closely with architectural, civil, and MEP teams to deliver coordinated and optimized design solutions. - Research and implement emerging computational tools for advanced structural modeling, performance simulation, and design optimization. - Contribute to knowledge sharing and workflow standardization within multidisciplinary teams.Qualifications and Experience- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred). - 0–7 years of experience in structural design and analysis using computational and digital tools. - Proficiency in Rhino/Grasshopper, Revit/Dynamo, and scripting (Python, C#, or equivalent). - Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Robot, or SAFE. - Understanding of structural behavior, design codes, and multidisciplinary coordination. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.Why Join Us- Be part of a global multidisciplinary leader, shaping the built environment across continents. - Work within a cutting-edge digital practice, advancing innovation in structural and computational design. - Collaborate with world-class experts on landmark multidisciplinary projects. - Access mentorship, professional growth, and opportunities to experiment with advanced tools and workflows.Offices Location:Openings available in Pune and Bengaluru offices.
