Job Description: Senior Database Administrator (PostgreSQL/Oracle) – 10+ Years Experience-JL6We are seeking a results-driven Senior Database Administrator with 10–20 years of hands-on experience in managing, architecting, and optimizing large-scale, mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PostgreSQL / Oracle SQL platforms, demonstrating advanced technical leadership in database administration, engineering, and innovation.Key Responsibilities:- Architect, implement, and maintain highly available database systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) supporting enterprise-grade applications. - Lead end-to-end database lifecycle management including installation, configuration, patching, migration, upgrades, and performance optimization. - Design and enforce robust disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions (PITR, RMAN, REPMGR, Log Shipping, Mirroring, HADR) to ensure business continuity. - Manage replication, clustering, and high availability solutions (Always On, Auto Failover, Switchover, Oracle RAC, REPMGR) across global environments. - Develop, tune, and troubleshoot complex SQL, PL/SQL, and procedural logic to support application performance and scalability. - Oversee database security, auditing, and compliance to meet organizational and regulatory standards. - Conduct capacity planning, monitoring, and proactive maintenance to ensure optimal database health and uptime.Required Skills & Expertise:- Extensive experience (10+ years) as a Database Administrator with deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Oracle APEX, Oracle ADF, and SQL Server technologies. - Proven track record in high availability, clustering, replication, disaster recovery, and database failover solutions. - Strong understanding of database architecture, design, tuning, and troubleshooting for performance-critical workloads. - Expertise in database installation, upgrades, migrations, patching, and automation. - Advanced skills in backup/recovery (PITR, RMAN), replication (REPMGR, Always On, Log Shipping, Mirroring), and database security. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure. - Commitment to continuous learning and adoption of new database technologies and best practices.Expectations:- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and development teams. - Drive innovation in database engineering, automation, and DevSecOps practices. - Collaborate with architects, application developers, and business stakeholders for seamless database integration.Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and proactively recommend improvements to existing database infrastructure.SQL Server, No SQL dbs will be an added advantageLocation: Bangalore , HyderabadRound of interview - Online assessment / Technical round / ManagerAbout FinacleFinacle is an industry leader in digital banking solutions.
