We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Specialist to join our Legal & Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with specific expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of contracts including NDAs, vendor contracts, laboratory agreements, and contracts with academic institutions. Prior experience with US and clinical trial contracts is essential.


Responsibilities

  • Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: Prepare, review, and negotiate various types of agreements, including but not limited to Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), Vendor Contracts, Laboratory Service Agreements, and Research Collaboration Agreements with universities and research institutions.
  • Contract Management: Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution and renewal, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders including clinical, research, procurement, and finance teams to ensure contract terms align with organizational objectives and operational needs.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks in contract terms and conditions, and provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance and Legal Standards: Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, with a strong emphasis on US and international clinical trial regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement best practices for contract management and negotiation processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on contract-related matters and policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents in the company's contract management system.


Qualifications

o  Any UG, Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

o  Advanced degrees or certifications in contract management or a related field are advantageous.

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is a must.
  • Proven experience with US and international clinical trial contracts and regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts including NDAs, CTAs, vendor agreements, and research collaborations.
