About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional finance professional to join our high-performing strategy & finance team. This is a pivotal role where you will build dynamic financial models, analyze large-scale datasets, and deliver strategic insights that directly influence capital raising, M&A, and business expansion decisions across our global fintech and payments portfolio.

As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, investors, and business unit heads, you will transform complex financial and operational data into compelling investment cases and actionable strategies, driving long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Modelling & Forecasting

  • Build and enhance robust, dynamic financial models in Excel, Power BI, Google Sheets, or Python:
  • Fully integrated 3-statement forecasts
  • DCF valuations, sensitivity/scenario modelling
  • Cash flow waterfalls & capital structure optimisation
  • Cohort analysis for revenue streams, lending portfolios & customer segments
  • Ensure models are transparent, scalable, and adaptable to evolving business assumptions.

2. Data Analytics & Insights

  • Perform large-scale data analysis using Excel, SQL, and/or Python to identify performance drivers & predictive KPIs.
  • Develop interactive dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) to communicate insights with clarity.
  • Track and monitor KPI dashboards across business units, fund performance & cash flow health.

3. Strategic Finance Support

  • Partner with leadership on long-term financial planning, unit economics, and scenario testing.
  • Support fundraising (equity, debt, hybrid) by preparing investor presentations and IMs for VCs, PE funds, banks & family offices.
  • Contribute to M&A deal evaluation: due diligence, synergy analysis & integration forecasting.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present complex insights in a clear, commercially focused manner to management, board, and external partners.
  • Act as a trusted partner to CEO, CFO & BU leaders, ensuring data-backed decisions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • CFA Charterholder (or equivalent) with 5+ years post-Level III experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
  • Expert in dynamic financial modelling & advanced Excel (array formulas, macros, pivot tables). Proficiency in Google Sheets; Python or R is a strong plus.
  • Strong grasp of financial fundamentals, valuation, and capital structuring.
  • Hands-on with SQL, Power BI, Tableau for financial & operational data analytics.
  • Proven track record in fundraising & M&A support/execution.
  • Exceptional communicator — skilled at translating numbers into strategic narratives.
