We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM QRadar L3 Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing IBM QRadar Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SIEM technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of handling complex security incidents and system configurations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Advanced Support and Troubleshooting: Provide high-level support for complex incidents and problems related to IBM QRadar SIEM. Resolve issues efficiently while maintaining system performance and reliability.
  • System Configuration and Optimization: Configure and fine-tune QRadar systems to enhance performance, scalability, and security. Implement best practices for system setup and maintenance.
  • Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents detected by QRadar. Analyze security events and logs to identify, contain, and mitigate threats.
  • Integration and Customization: Integrate QRadar with other security tools and technologies. Develop and implement custom rules, reports, and dashboards tailored to organizational needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incidents. Generate and present reports on system performance, security events, and incident resolution.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Training: Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and other team members. Conduct training sessions to improve the team's proficiency with QRadar.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SIEM technologies and security threats. Propose and implement improvements to enhance system effectiveness and efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications or degrees are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience working with IBM QRadar SIEM, including at least 2 years in a Level 3 support or engineering role.


Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of IBM QRadar architecture, components, and functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices.
  • Experience with security incident management and forensic analysis.
  • Proficiency in writing custom QRadar rules, reports, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with other security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).


Certifications: Relevant certifications such as IBM Certified QRadar Security Intelligence Platform App Developer, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are preferred.
