Role Description :

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Engineer specializing in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). The Senior Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions using SAP CPI. This role involves leading technical projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality integration solutions that meet business requirements. The Senior Engineer will play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the integration landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP CPI Development & Implementation :

- Design, develop, and deploy integration flows (iFlows) using SAP CPI to connect various SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Develop custom adapters, scripts (Groovy/JavaScript), and mappings within SAP CPI.

- Configure and manage security aspects of SAP CPI, including certificate management and authentication.

- Implement error handling and monitoring solutions for integration flows.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for integration solutions.

Integration Architecture & Design :

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust and scalable integration solutions.

- Design and implement integration patterns and best practices.

- Participate in architectural discussions and provide technical guidance on integration strategies.

- Ensure integration solutions adhere to company standards and best practices.

Project Leadership & Collaboration :

- Lead technical aspects of integration projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams ( SAP modules, business analysts, infrastructure teams) to deliver integrated solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.

- Manage and resolve integration-related issues and incidents.

Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing :

- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality.

- Share knowledge and best practices with the team.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP CPI features and technologies.

Performance Tuning & Optimization :

- Monitor and optimize integration performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

- Implement best practices for performance tuning in SAP CPI.

Testing and Deployment :

- Create and execute Unit, Integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Manage transport and deployment of CPI artifacts.

Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Extensive experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).

- Strong understanding of integration concepts and patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, publish/subscribe).

- Proficiency in Groovy or JavaScript scripting.

- Experience with REST, SOAP, and OData APIs.

- Knowledge of SAP modules (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC) and their integration points.

- Experience with certificate management and security protocols.

- Knowledge of XML, JSON, and other data formats.

- Experience with API management is a plus.

General Skills :

- Proficiency in software development, software engineering, and system architecture.

- Experience with project management, team leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.

- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP CPI certification.

- Experience with SAP API Management.

- Experience with other integration platforms (Dell Boomi, MuleSoft).

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
