Description : We are seeking a hands-on Kubernetes/Java Developer to join the Polaris Program, a strategic initiative designed to deliver a holistic architectural framework for post-trade and real-time risk/monitoring systems. The program aims to standardize integration between low-latency trading environments and post-execution platforms - focusing on scalability, resiliency, recoverability, manageability, simplicity, performance, time-to-market, and cost optimization.As part of this team, you will design and build high-performance distributed systems, modernize application infrastructure, and help shape the future of a front-to-back architecture for real-time financial systems.Key Responsibilities : - Design and implement high-performance messaging middleware and frameworks.- Build resilient, scalable, and containerized applications leveraging Kubernetes and Docker.- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to migrate applications from traditional infrastructure to Kubernetes environments.- Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.- Improve SDLC processes through a shift-left approach-enhancing testing, configuration, and developer experience.- Implement robust monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.- Troubleshoot, optimize, and document common solutions and best practices for containerized systems.- Contribute to continuous improvement in cost, quality, and performance optimization.Core Skills & Experience :- 5 - 7+ years of professional experience in software development, particularly with Java and distributed systems.- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code.- Practical knowledge of streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka.- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).- Solid understanding of cloud computing, DevOps principles, and microservices architecture.- Knowledge of Python and stream processing technologies is a plus.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proactive mindset.Preferred Technologies : Kubernetes | Docker | Java | Kafka | RocksDB | MongoDB | MemSQL | Prometheus | Tempo | Snowflake | Python | CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) | ELK Stack (ref:hirist.tech)
