The role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Architect to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust Business Intelligence solutions to meet the strategic data needs of our organization. The BI Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand business requirements, and develop scalable and sustainable data architecture to drive informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

BI Strategy and Planning:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable project plans.

Data Architecture:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data warehouse architecture, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Oversee the development of data models, ETL processes, and data integration strategies.
  • Collaborate with database administrators and data engineers to maintain data integrity and security.

BI Development:

  • Lead the development of interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality BI solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of BI applications.

Data Governance and Quality:

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
  • Implement processes for data quality assurance and metadata management.
  • Work towards creating a data-driven culture within the organization.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training sessions for end-users on BI tools and best practices.
  • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for BI applications.
  • Collaborate with the IT support team to address and resolve BI-related issues.

Relevant Background

-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

-10 years of proven experience as a Tableau Developer in a dynamic, data-driven environment.

-Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.

-Solid understanding of database concepts, SQL, and scripting languages.

-Experience with E-commerce data and metrics is a plus.

-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

-Strong understanding of storytelling, UI/UX design and relational data modeling

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.

-Experience in of Agile Scrum methodology.

-Familiarity with BI administration/architecture in Tableau and Power BI
