As a Backend Software Engineer at Plunes Healthcare, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for developing and optimizing server-side applications, ensuring data integrity, and enhancing the performance of our healthcare platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build new features, improve system architecture, and drive operational efficiencies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry through technology.

Key Responsibilities :

- Feature Development : Design, implement, and deploy backend services to support new product features and enhance existing ones.

- API Development & Integration : Develop robust APIs to support frontend applications and external integrations, ensuring scalability and security.

- Database Management : Maintain and optimize databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) for reliable data storage and efficient querying.

- System Optimization : Improve application performance by optimizing server-side code, database queries, and ensuring low-latency responses.

- Containerization & Orchestration : Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to containerize services and manage clusters, ensuring scalability and streamlined deployments.

- Technical Documentation : Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code, and maintain technical documentation for all backend processes.

- Collaboration : Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to align backend development with business goals and client needs.

- Security & Compliance : Implement best practices for data security, patient confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare industry standards.

Requirements :

- Experience : Experience in developing and maintaining scalable, distributed systems.

- Proficiency in NodeJS : Advanced knowledge in NodeJS for developing backend services and microservices.

- Experience with Databases : Solid experience with MongoDB and Postgres, including data modeling and performance optimization.

- DevOps & Containerization : Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for managing containerized services and orchestrating deployments across clusters.

- Knowledge of Messaging Queues : Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka to manage distributed systems and ensure reliable, asynchronous processing.

- API Development : Proven experience in designing RESTful APIs with strong security measures.

- Problem Solver : Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Preferred Qualifications :

- CI/CD Pipeline Experience : Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.

- Cloud Experience : Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure for scalable infrastructure management.

- Frontend Basics : While primarily a backend role, basic knowledge of frontend technologies and interactions is

beneficial.
