Responsibilities:


Project Planning:

  • Define solar EPC project requirements including capacity, location, budget, and timeline.
  • Determine procurement strategy (e.g., competitive bidding, direct negotiation).


Supplier Identification and Evaluation:

  • Identify potential solar EPC project material suppliers through market research, industry contacts, and supplier databases.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, including quality standards, production capacity, and delivery performance.
  • Conduct supplier audits and site visits to assess facilities and capabilities.


Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Develop procurement strategies and sourcing plans based on project requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Source materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
  • Manage documents like: Invoice, Delivery challans, E-way bills etc…


Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and transparency.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and address performance concerns.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives as needed.


Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contract documentation, including amendments, extensions, and terminations.
  • Monitor contract milestones and deliverables to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.


Quality Control:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for procured materials, equipment, and services.
  • Establish quality specifications and standards in collaboration with project stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits of Outgoing material from supplier end and also incoming materials at Project sites and supplier processes to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.


Cost Analysis and Optimization:

  • Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization, including bulk purchasing, supplier consolidation, and value engineering.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis to evaluate procurement decisions and recommend alternatives to achieve cost savings.


Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.


Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to align procurement activities with project requirements and timelines.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on procurement-related matters to support project planning and execution.
