Network Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain routing, switching, security, and load balancing solutions to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.

- Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and Firepower Firewalls, addressing security issues proactively.

- Provide operational support for diverse data center technologies, focusing on network infrastructure, firewall management, and load balancing.

- Monitor and analyze network performance, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to security standards.

- Coordinate and execute changes using established change management processes, minimizing risks and downtime.

- Utilize ticketing tools to track and resolve issues, ensuring timely support and documentation of actions.

- Configure and optimize routing protocols, including BGP, MPLS, VPN, and OSPF, to meet business requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address network and security challenges effectively.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to ensure accurate information sharing and compliance.

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance network security and performance.

Required Skill Set :

- Proficiency with at least two of the following : Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Firepower.

Hands-on experience with :

1. Firewall rule creation, modification, and management.

2. Firewall deployment, installation, and configuration.

- Reading and writing firewall rules and configurations.

- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP).

- Experience with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs).

- Knowledge of network topologies and security architectures.

- Experience with load balancing technologies and concepts.

- Knowledge of security best practices, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash).

- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

- Relevant industry certifications (e.g, CCNP Security, CISSP)
