Job Profile: Flexo and Screen Printing Graphic Designer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flexo and Screen Printing Graphic Designer with proficiency in CorelDRAW to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in graphic design, specializing in flexographic and screen printing processes within the automobile, cycle, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industries. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail to produce exceptional designs that meet client specifications and production requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design Development: Conceptualize and create visually appealing designs for a variety of products, packaging, labels, and promotional materials using CorelDRAW and other design software.
  2. Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their design needs, brand guidelines, and project goals. Translate client briefs into effective design solutions that resonate with their target audience and brand identity.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in CorelDRAW, with a strong understanding of its tools and features for flexographic and screen printing. Ensure designs are optimized for these printing methods while maintaining consistency and precision.
  4. Color Management: Manage color palettes and ensure accurate color reproduction across different print materials and substrates. Conduct color separations and adjustments to achieve desired print results.
  5. Prepress Setup: Prepare print-ready artwork files, including layout, color separation, trapping, and prepress setup, adhering to production specifications and industry standards.
  6. Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks on design proofs and print samples to identify and resolve any issues related to color accuracy, image resolution, and print clarity. Make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal print quality.
  7. Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, while adhering to project timelines and deadlines. Coordinate with internal teams, printers, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of finished products.
  8. Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in printing technologies, and best practices in flexographic and screen printing. Apply innovative design concepts and techniques to enhance the visual impact and marketability of products.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on flexographic and screen printing.
  3. Advanced proficiency in CorelDRAW, with a proven track record of producing high-quality designs for print.
  4. Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout principles, and print production processes.
  5. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  7. Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, particularly those created using CorelDRAW for flexographic and screen printing applications.
  8. Knowledge of other graphic design software and printing techniques is advantageous.
