Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Power BI, Oracle, SQL, and ETL processes, along with a proven track record of delivering data analytics and visualization solutions.


In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring high data accuracy and quality. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

Power BI Development :

Design, Develop, and Maintain Dashboards :

1. Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize business KPIs, trends, and other critical metrics.

2. Develop dynamic and interactive reports, leveraging Power BI features such as drill-throughs, slicers, bookmarks, and custom visuals.

Data Transformation and Modeling :

1. Develop and optimize data models to support reporting requirements, ensuring performance efficiency.

2. Use Power Query to clean, transform, and load data from different sources into Power BI.

3. Write complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) queries to create calculated columns, measures, and aggregations.

ETL Process Implementation :

1. Implement and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL and Oracle databases.

2. Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Oracle, Excel, and cloud-based systems into Power BI.

Data Accuracy and Quality:

1. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all Power BI reports and dashboards.

2. Perform data validation and ensure the consistent quality of reports by resolving discrepancies and errors in data.

Performance Tuning and Optimization :

1. Optimize Power BI models for performance, ensuring dashboards and reports load efficiently, even with large data volumes.

2. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in Power BI reports and dashboards.

Collaboration and Requirement Gathering :

1. Collaborate with business users, data engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data needs.

2. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop solutions to meet user needs.

Reporting and Analytics :

Deliver Actionable Insights :

1. Use Power BI to provide insights into business performance, making recommendations based on data trends and analysis.

2. Design reports that enable decision-makers to quickly understand key business metrics and take action.

Work with Large Data Sets :

1. Handle large datasets and integrate data from various sources for analysis and visualization.

2. Use advanced features like DirectQuery and Live Connections for real-time data visualization.

Regular Reporting and Updates :

1. Provide regular updates on the status of reports, dashboards, and analytics projects.

2. Collaborate with business teams to update and modify reports based on evolving business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

1. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data models.

2. Strong experience working with Oracle databases and SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.

Power BI Skills :

1. In-depth knowledge of Power BI features including Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service, and Power BI Desktop.

2. Experience in designing and deploying interactive dashboards and visual reports.

ETL & Data Integration :

1. Strong understanding and experience in ETL processes, especially in handling data from multiple sources like Oracle databases, SQL, Excel, and other external systems.

2. Familiarity with data integration tools or methods to support data warehousing and reporting.

SQL and Oracle Expertise :

1. Advanced SQL skills for querying, transforming, and optimizing data.

2. Experience with Oracle databases and writing complex queries for reporting.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills :

1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, analyze, and present data to support business decisions.

2. Problem-solving mindset to resolve complex data issues and enhance reporting functionality.

Communication Skills :

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

2. Ability to explain technical concepts to business users and executives.

Preferred Skills :

1. Experience with Power BI service for report deployment and access control.

2 .Familiarity with other data visualization tools like Tableau or QlikView.

3. Experience in working with cloud data sources such as Azure or AWS for Power BI integration.

4. Certifications in Power BI or data-related technologies are a plus.
