Job Description

 

LBC Poona is undertaking an aggressive transformation agenda, which builds on the success of the currently available products as well as investing in new ventures. We are investing in innovative ways to improve operations. Our goal is to position LBC Poona as an undisputed leader in today’s world. LBC is seeking a sincere and responsible Procurement Executive with 2-3 years of experience in raw material inventory management and vendor management.

 

This position is open in the firm’s Pune (Maharashtra) head office and will report to a senior manager.

 

As a Procurement Executive, your role will entail –

  • Updating systems for stock replenishment and raising POs to fill the gap of Demand V/s Supply of raw material for smooth inventory management
  • Collaborating with the production department of the firm and forecast the firm’s dynamic raw-material requirements on a continuous basis 
  • Vendor Negotiation and Vendor Management - Coordinating with vendors for order status, dispatches and inwards
  • Purchase Order Management - Create new purchase order as per specification and booked orders
  • Maintaining a high standard of quality control for all raw materials being procured
  • Preparing vendor performance reports in ERP/MS Excel
  • Preparing system reports in ERP/MS Excel
  • Logistic Operations knowledge is a plus point
  • Having the willingness and ability to travel to either to production sites or to vendor’s offices if the need arises, is a must
  • Adhering to a high ethical standard, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws

 

To thrive in this role, you will need to have – 

  • A Graduate Degree in Commerce, an MBA would be preferred 
  • Education with a focus on Operations or Supply Chain Management would be preferred
  • 2 to 3 yrs. experience in Supply chain operations, purchase function or warehouse management will be preferred
  • Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills are necessary for this role
  • Strong command over English and Hindi languages is needed
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills are a must, particularly MS Excel is necessary for this role
  • Previous experience in ERP software preferred
