Knowledge of OTDR, splitters, couplers, fiber colors Code, FAT box fitting, Optical Fiber Cabling, Fiber Route Designing according to connections, Splicing machine operating, Optical Fiber Fault Finding, Optical Fiber

  • Position interprets the Production Work Order/Build Plan to determine the exact fibers required
  • The position must have excellent eyesight including the ability to distinguish colors
  • Position requires extremely fine motor skills as it will be fusing delicate optical fibers
  • The position utilizes a fusion machine that is delicate and requires caution when moving the machine between locations
  • Must understand and follow KGP Safety practices.
  • Must practice quality awareness and could implement quality control processes and procedures.
  • Must learn and demonstrate the proper use of tools.
  • Performs cable splicer/fuser procedures.
