Role Description:

We are looking for a motivated Azure Cloud Solution Architect to join our BI Analytics Development Team.

The successful candidate will work in a team that supports Willis Towers Watson Finance, HR and Marketing departments

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

7+ years work experience in a software development environment


Job Summary:

•Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based BI analytics solutions using Microsoft Data Fabric and MS Medallion Architecture.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

•Implement best practices for data management, governance, and security in Azure environments.

•Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, standards, and best practices for Medallion architecture within the Azure cloud environment.

•Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.


Responsibilities & Duties:

Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging cloud technologies and recommending enhancements to existing systems.

Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to a global BI development team, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

Manage vendor relationships and resources effectively to support project delivery and ongoing operations.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of cloud-based BI analytics solutions.

Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing Azure-based solutions for BI analytics.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Data Fabric technology and MS Medallion Architecture, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Databricks.

Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling.

Experience managing a global BI development team, including offshore resources and vendor partners.

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
