Job Description:
Primary Skills
- 8+ Years hands on experience on IBM WebSphere Application Server ND Administration on Distributed platform.
- Should have hands-on experience with Ansible automation
- L3 Engineering or Equivalent level experience in IBM WebSphere Application server ND/IBM Http Server/Plugin Administration.
- Should have good knowledge on WebSphere ND administration tasks like Cluster Creation, Fix pack installations, Certificate installation and Troubleshooting.
- Should have knowledge on setting up an environment on middleware from end-to-end level using WebSphere application server.
- Should Have knowledge on DevOps tools like Bitbucket/Chef.
- Having Knowledge on IBM Liberty Core will be added advantage.
- Should be strong in Basic Linux Operating system commands to support WebSphere products which runs in Linux operating system.
Responsibilities
• Creation of JVMS’s on IBM WebSphere ND cluster setup for both load balancing and Failover.
• Six (6) years of WebSphere ND Application servers Administration experience (V8.5) on UNIX platforms
• Working with IBM for PMR cases and finding and deciding the proper fix pack levels to fix high CVV Vulnerabilities.
• Assisting L1/L2 team for any new Issues or escalations as well providing KT to them on new Technologies.
• Installation of Fix pack installations and version upgrades of WebSphere Application Servers/IHS and Plugin servers.
• Modify/re-design configuration/applications to resolve identified issues.
• Doing support in EST Off business hours such as responding team mails, Joining any troubleshooting calls or design calls, new build task discussions and any P1/P2 Incident calls.
• New and renewal of existing SSL Certificates on WebSphere and IHS Servers.
• Implementing Production changes on Weekends within the maintenance window.
• Assist on-call support on rotational basis.
• Ability to follow ITIL process – Incident, problem and change management.
• Assist with crafting the documentation and diagrams.
• Ready to support environment on IST hours between 1.30 PM IST to 10.30 PM IST.
• Willing to work in extended hours if needed as well ready to support in Weekends.
• Should be a good team player.
