Who we are searching for:

A vital part of AWS Federated team within our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE); you will steer the design and implementation of top-notch AWS infrastructure to cater to State Street's security, governance, and workload needs. We are on the lookout for an engineering-centric and seasoned AWS Leader well-versed in AWS cloud concepts, principles, Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform/CloudFormation, capable of crafting robust and automated solutions. This individual is also expected to oversee a team comprising of 10+ proficient Senior and Junior Engineers.

As the AWS Federated Platform Engineering - India Lead, you will:

  • Devising & structuring sturdy, scalable, and secure technical solutions on the AWS Cloud.

  • Collaborating with other platform architects to delineate component responsibilities, strategize component evolution, and ensure components align with platform requirements.

  • Accountable for service enablement on AWS in accordance with specific use case requirements.

  • Guiding & aiding AWS Engineers in automating the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations.

  • Taking charge of deliveries for the India team.

  • Ensuring that new hires - whether experienced or interns are trained, mentored, and equipped to deliver AWS Services within a short timeframe.

  • Full-fledged team management responsibility coupled with substantial technical acumen.

The following skills will contribute to your success in this position:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) for enterprise enablement.

  • Preference for automation and an engineering-centric approach.

  • Proven track record in designing and developing solutions spanning on-premises and cloud environments for large enterprises.

  • Thorough comprehension of cloud-native design patterns and DevOps principles, particularly Infrastructure as Code (IAC).

  • Readiness and aptitude to acquire new skills and technologies within a dynamic environment.

  • Self-driven and enthusiastic about teamwork - be it in India, the US, or other regions.

Education & Preferred Credentials:

  • Holder of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

  • 18 years of hands-on IT experience with 8-10 years spent designing and supporting AWS environments.

  • 8+ years of team management experience including performance management. Strong Leadership, Presentation, and Communication abilities.

  • Proficient understanding of AWS IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS solutions, as well as cloud-native design patterns and DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code).

  • Relevant certifications are highly desirable, showcasing a grasp of core infrastructure concepts as well as data and/or DevOps principles.

  • Demonstrated leadership prowess, exceptional communication and presentation skills, and proficiency in team performance management.

  • AWS Security & Policies.

Desirable skills to possess:

  • Programming & Scripting proficiencies.

  • Expertise in AWS Security & Governance.

  • Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and Networking.

  • Knowledge in AWS Storage, Networking, and High Availability.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid Working (Requires 3 days presence in the office)

Schedule - 3:00 pm to 12:00 am or 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm IST

Location - Bangalore only (Candidates unwilling to relocate need not apply)
