The Role - We are looking for a passionate engineer to join our team. As a Senior Software Engineer focused on our backend servers and tooling, you will partake in the process of creating and operating some of the most innovative games for our demographic. Your games will be played by millions of people around the world
As a Software Engineer your responsibilities are to:
Interact with stakeholders to gather requirements Participate in the creation of technical designs Participate in the monitoring and on-call rotation of a live-operating game Develop high-quality systems/features on our mobile games Develop and implement client/server communications Profile and optimize existing code Write tests for all your written code Implement and maintain third-party systems Constantly communicate and collaborate with team members Maintain optimal game server performance and capacityYour skills and experience include:
6+ years' experience building PHP applications / APIs in a fast-paced environment with short project deadlines Strong PHP experience Strong API design experience Strong Object-Oriented Programming expertise/ Clean Coding practices. Familiarity working with High Scale Backend Systems Familiarity with Git source control Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks Passionate about building games that will be played by millions around the worldGood to have skills or experiences:
Worked with server side Kotlin or Java Worked with Perforce / Subversion Familiarity with design patterns Familiarity working with cache systems Couchbase, Redis and MySQL datastore experience Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS ECS and related technologies
