ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is for an Apigee API Developer who designs, develops, and deploys APIs using Google Cloud Platform's Apigee API management platform.


Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and scalable APIs utilizing Apigee. Additionally, orchestrate and enforce APIs through Apigee proxy services, policies, and security features.
Work closely with product owners and architects to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for APIs.
Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code for Apigee proxies and policies.
To ensure robust API security, utilize Apigee features like security targets, quotas, and API keys.
Collaborate with internal teams (architects, product managers) to understand API requirements.
Integrate APIs with backend systems and services.
Implement API security best practices like authentication, authorization, and throttling.
Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and issues.
Document APIs for developers and internal teams.

Qualifications:
3 years of experience in API development and design.
Experience with RESTful APIs and API design principles (OpenAPI/Swagger).
Familiarity with Google cloud platforms (GCP App Engine, Compute) is a plus.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.) is beneficial.
Strong understanding of web development technologies (HTTP, JSON, etc.).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
