We are inviting applications for the role of Domain Trainee - Underwriting Analyst
Your role will require you to utilize your experience in and knowledge of insurance/reinsurance and underwriting processes to process transactions for the Underwriting Support Teams and communicate with the Onsite Team.
Responsibilities- Transaction processing according to standard work & SOP and work as underwriting analyst.
- Hands-on MIS skillset for day-to-day data handling and doing production- Excel proficiency is must. (Pivot, data cleansing and standardization and data scrubbing)
- Work loss run reports and Prior history of the applicant's insurance claims activity and cleanse the data.
- Sending Loss run requests to pricing and actuarial teams for further analysis and decision making.
- Extracting loss runs from existing documents and cleanse it and upload the information in the template.
- Preparing insurance claims template after analyzing the loss runs and upload it on platform.
- Sending underwriters the claims reports and informing them in case a loss run report is not available or in any case of missing information for processing.
- Prioritize transactions according to documented guidelines to meet SLA.
- Domain expert in US insurance with direct/indirect client relation and client handling.
- Ability to work in an environment of multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
- Good knowledge of P&C Insurance Underwriting, with client handling experience
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment exercising good judgment.
- Manage own work in process and support team efforts to ensure that individual, team and office goals are met of performing quality audits
- Understanding of risks faced by the function and the controls in place to manage and mitigate.
- Queue Management - Effectively self-managing and monitoring queue includes daily production.
- Sharing RCA on escalations received followed with good problem-solving skills & attention to detail.
- Should have wing to wing knowledge of the P&C underwriting, LOB's, Loss runs and other P&C commercial insurance related activities.
- Innovate ideas to error proof the process & reduce manual interventions.
- Conduct and participate in knowledge transfer sessions for new joiners in the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Any graduate (except technical, BE and LLB)
- Relevant experience with underwriting domain knowledge along with MIS experience worked as SME/QA level and having experience in Commercial P&C Insurance industry U.S. area only
- Communication skills for client handling- Good Written and spoken Communication Skills
- MIS skillset - Proficiency IN MS Office specifically MS Excel & Word
Preferred Certification:
AINS, UW, CPCU
- Preferred Candidate with Green Belt certification
- Preferred Candidate with new transition experience
