IS Operations Manager

You will be working as IS Operations Manager at global grade 12 reporting to IS Service Owner based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be primarily accountable to delivering and orchestrate the delivery of IS service line operations activities. Coordinating with and supervises internal or external third-party supplier resources for the effective delivery and operational performance of the services in scope, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance
Your responsibilities- Partnering with diverse teams, from business leaders to IT professionals and developers, to integrate the holistic application framework into daily operations
- Spearheading the dissemination and implementation of best practices, governance principles, policies, and standards, ensuring an all-encompassing governance model
- Promoting a culture of operational excellence and governance, optimizing development processes, and ensuring uniform quality across projects
- Implementing policies that adhere to legal standards and proactively mitigate a broad range of operational and security risks
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies to ensure the organization's application and development environment remains scalable and forward-looking
- Providing clear guidance and principles to application teams, encouraging informed decision-making, minimizing bottlenecks, and nurturing a culture of self-governance
- Collaborating with industry experts and community leaders to ensure the application framework remains both practical and forward-thinking
- Master's Degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering or similar
- Minimum 5+ years of practical experience as a business or system manager in strategy design, management, and change management, proven delivery background, strategical thinking, and problem-solving with understanding of architectural principles and corporate relations
- Strong experience in designing application landscape and ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
- Experience in designing application policies, procedures and standards. ITIL processes knowledge is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with strong leadership and ability to manage and maintaining cross-functional stakeholders, ability to work independently on the assigned tasks and attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable and able to work in a challenging environment, must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others, experienced in working in virtual teams with cross services organizations
ABB's shared services organization which delivers operational and expert services in Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Legal, Global Travel Services and external Customer Contact Centers.
