As a Software Engineering Manager at Zendesk, you will have a unique opportunity to lead a world-class team of data engineers and contribute to the development and support of EDA Analytics capability across our organization. You will be responsible for managing the staffing, health, and engagement of your team, as well as translating business initiatives into actionable analytics outcomes.

Collaboration and communication will be key as you partner with product teams, staff engineers, and other delivery managers to ensure successful project implementation.

As part of this role, you will be in charge of supervising a team of data engineers who are accountable for the lifecycle management of organized and rationalized analytic domains. You will guide engineers in their professional development, drive engineering excellence by emphasizing delivery characteristics, and collect metrics to assess team accomplishments. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in constructing data domains along with your team of data engineers.

• Drive the successful delivery of your team's initiatives
• Manage the delivery of Product prioritized initiatives through data pipeline development
• Drive engineering excellence through delivery characteristics
• Gather metrics that measure the respective Analytics teams
• Make individual contributions to building data domains with data engineers

• 3+ years of experience as a manager of data engineering teams responsible for delivery.
• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer delivering data products and insights.
• Proficiency with SQL and experience with Python programming language (proficiency with other scripting language i.e. Ruby is an advantage).
• Validated management experience building technical teams with proven success in data transformation.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to effectively prioritize, develop, deliver, leverage, and enhance data assets.
• Proven track record of coaching/mentoring individual contributors and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
• Experience leading SCRUM/Agile delivery teams.
• Knowledge of data analytics and experience leading data analytics teams.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams preferred.

• 3+ years of experience as a manager of data engineering teams responsible for delivery of software products.
• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer delivering data products and insights.
