Role Objective: Siemens Healthineers is establishing an APAC Tax Center of Excellence in Bangalore to manage tax compliances and reporting for various countries in the region. This position will oversee end-to-end processes for tax compliances, reporting, and defense for SHS & Varian entities in AU & NZ. Additionally, the role will play a key part in transitioning manual processes to a digital and automated environment.



Key Responsibilities - SHS and Varian entities in AU & NZ



Operational Responsibilities:

  • Manage key Tax Compliance processes in Tax Hub, including data retrieval, integrity checks, tax computation, returns, reconciliation, accounting, and filing.
  • Assist in finalizing Current and Deferred Tax workings with auditors, as well as data collection for tax audits and audit report finalization.
  • Organize and maintain documents, working papers, and files for tax concessions, assist in audit responses, and represent before tax authorities.
  • Support in audit defense, respond to business queries, and assist in tax planning and structuring.
  • Conduct trend and data analysis to identify deviations and patterns.

Automation/Transformation Expertise:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in SAP functionality and reporting for tax filings.
  • Contribute ideas for digitalization projects and participate in implementing automation processes.

Qualifications and Business Competencies

  • Qualified CA with 3-4 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, with a focus on APAC countries.
  • Experience in direct and indirect tax compliances, including tax return preparation and filing.
  • Background in centralized tax compliance and advisory.
  • Proficient in Excel, strong communication skills, and ability to work in the time zone of AU & NZ.
