Position Title: Manufacturing Head – General Manager/ Director
s to Chief Operating Officer
Location: Hitech City, Hyderabad
Roles and Responsibilities:
As the Head of Manufacturing at PMJ Jewels, your role would encompass a variety of responsibilities focused on ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of diamond jewellery. Below is an outline of the key responsibilities and skills typically associated with this position:
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management:
o Oversee the entire manufacturing process from raw material procurement to final product.
o Implement production schedules to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of products.
2. Quality Control:
o Establish and enforce quality standards for all products.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high quality and consistency.
3. Team Leadership:
o Manage and mentor a team of skilled craftsmen, designers, and production staff.
o Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
4. Process Optimization:
o Continuously improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
o Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and increase productivity.
5. Technology Integration:
o Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and techniques.
o Integrate new tools and machinery to enhance production capabilities.
6. Supplier and Vendor Management:
o Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors for materials and equipment.
o Negotiate contracts and ensure the timely procurement of high-quality materials.
7. Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
o Implement and monitor safety protocols to create a safe working environment.
8. Budget Management:
o Develop and manage the manufacturing budget.
o Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
9. Innovation and Design Collaboration:
o Work closely with the design team to bring new designs to life.
o Encourage innovation and creativity within the production team.
