Developmental Psychologist Internship

About the internship:

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assisting in designing and developing research studies focused on child development, encompassing physical, cognitive, social, experimental, and neuroscience aspects

2. Conducting research studies involving children, adhering to ethical research protocols and ensuring participant safety and well-being with the assistance and guidance

3. Analyzing and interpreting research data using appropriate statistical methods

4. Preparing research reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals under the support and guidance

5. Staying current on advancements in child development research and related fields

6. Collaborating effectively with other researchers, including psychologists, neuroscientists, and engineers

Qualifications:

1. Final year masters in psychology or completed bachelors with focus on/passion in child development or a closely related field (e.g., developmental psychology, cognitive science)

2. Strong foundation in research methodology and statistics

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

5. Passion for child development and a commitment to making a positive impact

6. Bonus Points:

7. Experience with specific research areas mentioned (cognitive, experimental, social, etc.)

8. Experience with conducting research involving specific populations (e.g., infants, toddlers, adolescents)
