Job Description

What you will do in this role:

  • Develop content strategy for multiple applications, detailing the information structure, written content, and multimedia elements needed to assist customers in swiftly achieving their objectives
  • Implement the content strategy for various applications by creating high-quality, user-centric technical content, coordinating with subject matter experts, reviewers, multimedia content creators, and other writers
  • Utilize your deep understanding of the ServiceNow product ecosystem and your expert knowledge of the specific users and applications you support to influence product direction and craft content experiences that drive customer success
  • Offer effective leadership within teams by gathering and considering diverse viewpoints, nurturing a common goal, and organizing collaborative tasks to empower individuals while ensuring alignment and timely goal attainment
Qualifications

What you need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or higher in technical writing, technical communication, English, journalism, or rhetoric; or a similar blend of education and experience in related fields
  • Familiarity with content development life cycles and procedures

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in technical communication
  • Work samples demonstrating your ability to convey complex technical information clearly
  • Background in authoring using DITA, Markdown, or another structured writing framework
  • Experience defining content strategy and leading content projects for new or large products requiring multiple writers
  • Experience guiding diverse, collaborative writing teams; mentoring junior writers; and aiding colleagues and stakeholders in adapting to shifting priorities and circumstances
