Sr Electrical Engineer – RF Coil

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to be part of Global Procurement Team and have a visible impact on the finding the best way to meet the challenges of markets and global competition. You will have the opportunity to maintain and modify the design in a range of products like MR, Ultra Sound, Cathlabs, and CT.

You are responsible for

  • Responsible for understanding the Design, test the proto parts and integration of his module/sub-system in accordance with the higher level architectural Requirements
  • Conducts Concept & Feasibility studies.
  • Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed design
  • Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
  • Ensures that his design modules meet the product certification requirements
  • Is abreast of / participates in standards identification required for testing, designing
  • Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress.
  • Contributes to the Work Breakdown Structure/ the planning process of his/her area.
  • Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations
  • Communicates with Suppliers, for design transfer, query solving
  • Proficient in Component Selection, De-rating analysis

You are a part of

Engineering & Procurement cross-functional team responsible for R&D knowledge transfer, localisation, global transfer projects in Idea to Market (I2M), Market to order (M2O) and Order to customer (O2C). KPI's include new part development, BOM savings, reverse engineering, value engineering projects, global product & parts transfers, part of extended team of design authority, new cost savings ideas supporting procurement processes

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Completed engineering studies at university level; BE/BTech/ME/Mtech in Electronics/Electrical with 4+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art methods & tools (CAD/simulation) used in electrical design
  • Expert in Power Electronics and High Voltage and knowledge of Digital Electronics, Analog circuits and Antenna design
  • Knowledge of Analog amplifiers
  • Knowledge of Electrical Hardware Testing – added advantage
  • Knowledge of Value Addition and Value Engineering
  • Expertise in design techniques, application domain and engineering
  • Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware boundaries
  • Exposure to International Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc. will be preferred
  • Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
  • Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
  • Be structured and self-organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Quality mindset in design and documentation
