Lead Software Development Engineer, Chennai

What is the job about

You'll become a valuable member of the Digital Test team of GT&I, within the CTO area which is committed to conceiving, developing, and introducing novel and impactful digital solutions to our Division teams.

As a Lead Product Development Engineer, you will have an important part in shaping the future of digital applications and at the heart of creating robust and scalable solutions that power our IoT ecosystem. Your work and emphasis will be on creating robust and scalable solutions, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues and cross-functional teams to create and deliver test standards, while continuously enhancing our team's capabilities.

We are continually advancing our multi-tenant platform on Microsoft Azure Cloud by employing a comprehensive tech stack that includes wide technologies, languages, and development tools such as:

  • Microservices and event-driven solution-architecture
  • C#, .Net 6, Node, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Apollo server
  • Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and software pipelines
  • Datadog, SonarCloud, BlackDuck, Seeker, Azure DevOps, and Jira
  • High security and coding standards, with extensive coverage of testing

Your contributions:

  • Build features into the tools developed by the test relevant professional experience team by discussing with digital development teams.
  • Guide the team on technical implementation so that the tools can support all teams seamlessly.
  • Create adequate documentation and guides are available for all tools and assessments. Ensure adoption of tools across all teams
  • Make sure all support tickets are handled within agreed SLA.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the overall test maturity of the organization.
  • Come up with suggestions to improve productivity of the teams.

Your background (Experience with IoT and Microsoft Azure or a similar platform)

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or similar.
  • Expertise is defining product roadmaps and product development strategies.
  • Must have led / guided teams and enabled continuous improvement.
  • Expertise in business development activities.
  • Expertise is gathering requirements and translating to developers.
  • Expertise in service delivery management and defining SLA's.
  • Expertise in working with tool vendors and industry analysts to build product roadmaps.

Currently, we are on the verge of launching an innovative solution to a completely new customer group for Grundfos that intelligently monitors and controls pump systems, provides smart and valuable insights to the customer while reduces unnecessary and costly inspections.
