About the Team:
Working with exciting data platforms such as Palantir Foundry and Azure Synapse in the Group Data Services

(GDS) you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data pipelines and analytics solutions to

support key decision-making business processes jointly with teams from across Swiss Re. You will be expected

to take end-to-end ownership of deliverables, working with peers and partners internationally across Europe, the

US as well as our teams in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Our multicultural team plays a crucial role with People planning, Cloud Consumption and Infrastructure cost

planning for all business units within Swiss Re.

About the Role:
In this role you will work in one of our agile teams, managing our Azure platform and ingesting data from source

systems in our private and public clouds into ADLS containers, curating the data using Azure Synapse, making it

available through Azure Serverless to be transported into our strategic Palantir Foundry platform, to perform

advanced analytics and predictions.

Key responsibilities

  • End-to-end engagement, from inception to production, in designing, deploying, operating, and
continuously improving performance and fault-tolerance of high-availability services in multiple

environments

  • Deliver high-quality code and solutions, focusing on reliability, automation and security.
  • Operate the production systems in close collaboration with product engineering teams, closely monitoring
service availability, latency, and performance. Improve the alerting frameworks to detect and resolve

issues promptly.

  • Take charge of incident resolution impacting the production platform and lead detailed root cause
investigations during postmortems, encouraging a culture of seamless work across teams

  • Focus on delivering automated and self-healing systems. Continuously engage in workload planning
and exploring solutions to increase the efficiency of the platform using the opportunities of the public

clouds

  • Contribute to development, support and maintenance of continuous delivery solutions

Your key qualifications include:

  • Solid experience with Azure cloud computing and standard methodologies around design, build, scale,
and ensure observability in a high-traffic concurrent infrastructure

  • Proven analytical and conceptual skills, understand the implications and trade-offs of different solutions
with regards to performance, reliability, availability, and security.

  • Proficient with languages like Python and advanced scripting.

able to collaborate effectively with international team members, express technical

leadership by arguing your views and ideas while staying open to different opinions, and always

contribute to the overall growth of the team.

  • Experienced working in an agile environment using Scrum.
  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent working experience.
  • Proficient in English (The job is English-speaking only).
  • Change embracing and forward thinking with strong "customer first" attitude with an emphasis on
responsibility and ownership of customer request
