Senior Software Development Engineer

Our team is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to join the EG Identity team, which is part of the Platform Acceleration and Architecture team, to assist in building the Identity and Access Management System. This role is crucial for designing and implementing microservices as part of the platform consolidation of Identity products. You'll contribute to developing new login, authentication, and authorization products requiring frontend knowledge and deep backend implementation experience. As a key player, you'll help design new services, ensure scalability, security, reliability, and availability benchmarks are achieved. You'll also oversee Login/Identity products while constructing essential platform components. Additionally, you'll mentor junior engineers, collaborate with them, and actively participate in their professional growth. Come up with fresh ideas to further enhance the trusted marketplace we're building. Your contributions will directly impact EG's revenue growth and establish foundational elements for bolstering the EG platform.


What you'll do:

  • Develop quality scalable, tested, and reliable applications and microservices using industry best practices to handle numerous requests per second
  • Deliver tested and optimized high-performance code in a distributed microservices environment
  • Take part in resolving and carrying out root cause analysis of production issues and lead initiatives for effective solutions
  • Craft an intelligent service layer enabling in-session personalization based on user behavior and data
  • Expand our public API to allow external partners to leverage our services and offerings on third-party platforms
  • Technologies we work with: Java8/11, Kotlin, Spring Boot, OAuth, OIDC, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis Cache, SQL Server, S3, AWS, Docker, Dropwizard, Kafka, Data Dog, React, Redux, React Native, and more

Who you are:

  • Enthusiastic about acquiring and sharing knowledge with colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment
  • Skilled in web services development, web and/or application containers, and microservices architecture
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent experience
  • Have over 7 years of post-college professional software development experience with Java/Kotlin, J2EE, and relational databases
  • Possess knowledge of Identity and Access Management functionalities
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture and tools like Kafka
