About the Role

The role holder will closely work with the P&C Data Governance (P&C DG) Lead, along with a wide range of enabling team members and Business & IT partners, with an amazing opportunity to conceptualise and operationalise a strong and sustainable data foundation for P&C.

Day-day in the role will include the following (but not limited to)

  • Be a key contributor to the P&C Re Operations data governance framework and related projects
  • Help conceptualise and drive numerous aspects of P&C's core data governance practice (not limited to Master data management, data issue management, data quality management, etc.)
  • Build and formalize a global network of data owners and data stewards, including project management of the ongoing running of this network
  • Help steer group wide initiatives on Data Governance as well as help implementing them in the business unit.
  • Conceptualise and deliver ongoing trainings that are aimed at increasing the data knowledge and culture within P&C
  • Trusted partner to guide and support enabling team members to continuously improve the Core system landscape.
  • Consulting partner for various P&C Re data governance steering forums
  • Trusted advisor on a variety of Data Compliance topics such as Data Protection, Access Management, Cross border data transfer, Data classification
  • Continuously contribute and shape Analytical Data Modelling (ADM) initiatives as well as ongoing maintenance of attributes and meta data of P&C data sets

About the Team

Property & Casualty (P&C) Enabling Unit – We're a team of global experts who steer the development and execution of P&C Re's Digital Transformation & Data Foundation strategy. We own and develop Operations' core system landscape and e2e operational reporting capabilities. We drive process alignment, simplification and continuously improve our digital operating platform and how we connect internally and externally to make us better to work with - and work for

This role is specifically part of the Data Foundation & Reporting team (within Enabling), which ensures strong data integrity that drive data driven decision making within P&C.

About You

  • 5 - 8 years of experience
  • Multi-disciplinary Reinsurance expertise with focus on one critical domain: P&C Re Operations (Technical Accounting & Claims Operations, Claims, Inforce Management, Reserving)
  • Prior experience in Data Governance could be helpful but not mandatory
  • Positive mindset and passion for solving problems
  • Curious about learning new concepts and not shy away from experimenting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, such as client orientation
  • Dedicated and able to work independently as well as with global teams
  • Openness and flexibility to take on new tasks and challenges
  • Attention to detail: You have a passion for the detail while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Candidate should be able to deal with a fair amount of ambiguity e.g., ability to handle diversity and be able to work in a matrix organization
