Job Description

Danfoss India is looking for a Senior Production Planner for the plant located at Oragadam, Chennai. This position will be responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. Strong collaboration with the Business Managers, Sales and other cross functional teams inside the plant environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and analyze customer demand.
• Generate a Production Schedule based on Customer's requirements.
• Process customer demand into MPS.
• Create Pick list, Outbound process, Customers (Assy Plants).
• Follow-up of shipments.
• Make sure all ASN ́s have been sent on time based on customer requirement.
• Support to Areas as required (Quality, Eng, Production, Projects, etc.).
• Track customer ratings and dispute as appropriate.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure plant inventory objectives are met.
• Monitor daily production (track open order status through production, shipping, and delivery)
• Manage phase in/phase out to avoid obsolete material.
• Maintain F/G Kanban system updated.
• Monitor Sales & Support SIOP process.
• Maintain Work Orders process, daily production order release for planning
• Maintain weekly, monthly customer order adherence to achieve OTD goals.
• Receive and analyze Budget for resource planning.
• Daily, weekly, monthly RM shortage report monitoring & review with material planners
• SAP knowledge on production planning & MRP Control
• Demand Planning / analysis of Forecast vs Actual Orders
• Commercial Knowledge on Outbound Logistics and coordinating shipments
• Commitment to meet individual & organization KPI targets
• Maintain customer open order book and periodical analysis for better planning
• Forecast monitoring, fluctuation analysis of customer order
• Monitoring stock accuracy level of RM & FG codes and work with CFTs on it

Background & Skills

• Engineering or Post graduation any,
• Strong SAP Knowledge (SD, PP, SIOP, Warehouse, WMS modules)
• Experience in rating systems OTD and disputing process
• 8 – 11 years experience as customer service / Planner (Materials & Production)
• MRP knowledge and planning skills
• Technical knowledge of bill of material, schedule execution, and inventory management
• Knowledge and compliance with the standards that rules the IATF16949
• Ability to manage priorities and crisis situations
• Leadership Ability, Team work, analytical & decision making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to maintain good relations with customers, suppliers, plant and divisional personnel.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement programs
