You will be working as Project Engineer - Process Power Manager at global grade 14 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing authority for Electrical power Management system with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities
  • Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Handling testing, installation and commissioning activities
  • Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)
  • Supporting the Contract Manager in change management (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.)
  • Creating work plans and cost estimates in one's area of responsibility. Reviewing and approving scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
  • Completing Power Management System related risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions in one's area of responsibility
  • Assisting customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. Assisting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings
  • Collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers. Providing technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepts as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services
  • Maintaining network of engineering professionals and sharing engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines
Your background
  • Bachelor's/Diploma in electrical and electronics engineering
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Engineering and Commissioning of Power Management System (PMS) covering the functionalities of Primary equipment monitoring and control, Load shedding, Load sharing, Synchronization etc.
  • Hands on Experience in designing substation network architecture of control systems
  • Hands on Experience in control philosophy for process / power plants
  • Hands on Experience in Software, Hardware design and test experience with any of DCS
  • Working Knowledge on Utility Communication Protocols like IEC61850, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101,104, TCP/IP, Prefab's, Profinet, Fieldbus, SPA
  • Hands-on experience in Application Engineering tool with any of the DCS
