R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite, #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion Business for Drive products division in Bangalore India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Maintaining recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.

• Finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them.

• Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them.

• Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization and participating in the project IP strategy development.

Qualifications for the role
  • You will be involved in the R&D team which is developing test automation of functionalities of variable frequency drives (VFD).
  • You are expected to support the execution of the R&D strategy to enable high quality and fast technology driven product validation. The R&D teams you are joining are highly commitment to systematic preventive quality culture
  • Strong expertise in python programming and Robot Framework with minimum 5 years of hands on experience and Good knowledge about test automation infrastructure. Hands on experience on Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
  • Preferable if you have industry automation domain experience. It is expected that you have good knowledge of the products and domain in which you have worked.
  • Experience in working with software development process such as agile, scrum.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, instrumentation, electronics or power electronic engineering. Minimum 8 years of experience in testing and Python automation
  • You are at ease communicating in English language
