What you doSAP FPG/FPSL Expert Job Description The Consultant works with Allianz internal customers and team members in SAP S/4 implementation projects and day to day operations.

Responsibilities will include, although not limited to, the following:

  • Provide expertise in SAP Financial Posting Gateway (FPG) to clients across financial services
  • Deliver high quality SAP software implementation and consulting services
  • Establish productive client relationships
  • Contribute and collaborate as team member in global working environment
  • Communicate effectively with client and at global management levels
  • Aptitude and willingness to develop technical skills
  • Supporting the setup and operation of a group-wide second-level help desk for SAP FPG
  • Maintaining and developing the SAP FPG system based on SAP S/4HANA Finance including cooperation in the implementation of system upgrades/SAP releases
  • Setting the account determination and maintenance as well as setting the most current chart of accounts
  • Participating in or managing projects for the maintenance and further development of the central systems
  • Acting as the contact for reporting in interaction with relevant interface/target systems (Data Warehouse, Data Delivery Hub, GL connector) What you bring
Education & Professional Experience

  • Completed degree in business administration, economics, business informatics, mathematics or comparable training
  • Several years of professional experience in the introduction, maintenance and further development of the SAP FPG or FPSL solution for integrated financial reporting/sub-ledger
  • Good knowledge of (group) accounting and accounting-relevant knowledge of IFRS 17 (and Solvency II) and the associated processes
  • Experience in project work or implementation of projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Actuarial or a related field
  • Experience in at least one SAP full life-cycle implementations involving integration of SAP FPG (or FPSL) into FI.
  • Knowledge of IFRS17, Solvency II. other local GAAP knowledge beneficial. Skills, Knowledge & Competencies
  • Hands on experience in SAP FPG (FPSL), Insurance Analyzer or Bank Analyzer is strongly preferred, in functional or techno-functional role.
  • Technical and/or functional expertise in SAP applications modules in SAP FI is an advantage
  • Good understanding in financial accounting and reporting practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English and German
  • Capability to work well under pressure, in particular under cost and time constraints
  • Ability to excel in a global team environment, effectively communicate and achieve results
  • Comprehensive understanding of the business processes in the area of sub-ledger accounting as well as integration into the general ledger accounting.
