Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team can provide you the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. Being empowered with the flexibility, reliability, and scalability of Virtual Networking, Cloud Applications and Cloud Platform enables Oracle's Enterprise customers to run their mission critical workload seamlessly on OCI. Within OCI, the Virtual Networking team is responsible for delivering innovative networks with high performance characteristics that exceed those of our competitors.As a member of the Network Load Balancer Data plane(DP) team, you will take an active role in the design, implementation, and operation of highly available, massive scale, integrated cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment.

Required/Preferred Qualifications: .

  • Proficiency with C/C++.
  • Scripting proficiency, in a language such as Python, Perl or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience developing multi-threaded embedded Linux application/infrastructure.
  • Firmware development skills and experience with embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of at least one of Intel/AMD/ARM computer architectures.
  • Hardware and/or System bring-up experience, Networking Knowledge
  • Experience with Linux Kernel/Driver programming.
  • Proficient with Linux.
  • Experience in CI/CD environments.
  • Comfortable working with remote/lab equipment.

Required Education and Work Experience:

  • BSEE, BSCS, BSCE, or equivalent. MSEE, MSCS, or MSCE is a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of Software Engineering experience working on challenging issues with a self-starter and self-motivated attitude.

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly as needed
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize, self-manage, self-study, and organize effectively.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
