Job overview and responsibilities

A entrepreneurial and meticulous engineer who owns the entire software lifecycle, translates business needs into working software with continuous attention to technical excellence and good design

Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solution design according to existing architecture guardrailsHave a holistic view of how an engineering solution adds value and ties into the defined business outcomes; provide options for how the solution could be evolved to provide even more valueUse an experimental mindset to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative design options which take target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems into accountBuild the simplest possible solution that fulfils user needs as well as meets functional, compliance and quality requirements, making sure to deliver solutions on time and identify and eliminate potential waste (e.g. unnecessary documentation, inefficient methodologies etc.)Drive testing and deployment of software solutions, including ensuring automated testing to ensure solution quality Identify and share best practices with other teams as well as produce necessary documentation

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country. Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll / benefits systems of the new country.

Human Resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws. In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee id, date of employment and company seniority dates.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field4+ years hands-on industry experience in software development, ideally in an AdTech environmentAbility to translate product strategy and requirements into suitable solution design often across several platforms and product teamsAbility to design and build high-performing and secure software solutions according to the customer needs with given tools and languagesAbility to apply leading software development practices and standards to develop robust and maintainable softwareAbility to code in functional programming languages and build distributed, scalable and resilient solutionsAbility to test and deploy software solutions, including ability to design and build advanced automated 'build, test, and release' infrastructureAbility to collaborate effectively with other engineering teams to solve and reduce technical dependenciesAbility to support developments with A/B-testingMust be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorshipMust be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionEqual Opportunity Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled/LGBT
